There are two distinct areas in the post-appraisal stage that you need to identify and address:
1. Positive feedback
2. Negative feedback.
There is a third direction which can never be described in absolute terms:
3. Neither here nor there.
Let's look at each of these.
When the appraisal is positive, you feel happy. But all is not over yet:
It is said the path to reach the top is difficult. To remain there is a constant challenge. So you cannot afford to be complacent.

3. Be innovative and try to experiment with new ideas and strategies.
4. Be result oriented.
5. Be interactive and take your people into confidence.
6. Always accept new concepts and upgrade your methods.

5. Seek suggestions and implement them.
6. Understand your work and functions.
7. Understand the organisation.
Besides the outcome, there are other issues that need to be addressed in the post-appraisal stage:
Address your personal growth as an individual as well as your professional growth.
1. Introspect on your self. This is very important.
2. Introspecting on your work is a must.
3. Do not launch into the blame game by targeting people or the system. Do not bear grudges.
4. Learn to accept criticism graciously and grow.
5. Work at improving your interaction with others.
